When volunteering at a local park, you may be given different volunteering options as well as earn accreditation and qualifications for learning skills. Yet, a skills scheme might require additional formalities to the volunteering experience and may not actually be desirable to all volunteers.
A Parks Charitable Trust could diversify volunteering opportunities ranging from admin roles and events coordination for example. Furthermore, combining volunteering with qualifications such as NVQs and accreditation for new skills, might open up new ways to employment. But this could increase costs for the charity as it would require additional staff to coordinate and support volunteers.
