As per the post below, why is the question above one or the the other. Conservation and well-being are very much intertwined. Parks increase people's well-being because they are close to nature, if there is no nature then they will not experience the same level of well-being. It is exactly this kind of ill thought idea that makes me apprehensive about the whole quality of this proposal. "We were told well-being was people's priority" "Okay, might as well scrap a bio-diversity plan based on the 14 people that answered that question."

I don't see that expanding heath and well-being activities in parks will necessarily have a negative impact on wildlife if it is handled properly. Health and well-being are important for many people and where better to encourage such activities than in the open air. I think that most parks are big enough to allow such activities to not impinge on the wildlife.
